Söre Glavaer

After a good night sleep at Vik we motored out of Sogne fjord. We aimed for Söre Glavaer, a small island with a very protected anchorage. We arrived mid afternoon. No other boats, no people either. Sailed distance 50,7 nautical miles.

Vik

After two days at Flåm it was time to get out of Sogne fjord. No wind at all to start with and when the wind picked up it was in the wrong direction. Even the current was against us. We motored slowly westwards. After eight hours of motoring we found a nice little fjord arm …

Flåm

Målöy

Time to go around Statt again, very light winds. The sea state was really ok this time and we motored all the way to Målöy. We went for a walk, some nice street art. Sailed distance 35,4 nautical miles.

Ona

Early next morning we left Ålesund, set sail and sailed north. Head winds but good sailing. It took us eight hours to tack our way to Ona, a nice little island with only 15 residents. Very few yachts around, some shipping but almost no yachts. We spent two days at Ona and saw all of …

Ålesund again

We were not sure if we were going to continue north or turn south, it was too late in season to reach Lofoten. We decided to continue north and we returned to Ålesund. Motoring most of the way. Sailed distance 27,8 nautical miles.
